UNFPA's partner programmes on reproductive health

1. The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic:

Coordinates events for the programme and provides specialists; it provides premises for storing the contraceptives; it provides help with monitoring and distributing the contraceptives.

2. The Republican Medical Information Centre:

Is responsible for the information centre, which manages the logistics of contraceptives and the integration of public health statistics into the system.

3. The Department for Medicine Provision in the Ministry of Health KR:

Monitors and provides an estimation for the distribution and use of methods of contraception and develops recommendations for their further improvement.

4. The Kyrgyz State Medical Institute for the Promotion and Further Training of Specialists:

Is responsible for the training of gynaecologists, obstetricians, family practitioners including examining teaching materials and working out new modules and text books based on proven medical practice for problems concerning RH/FP, safe motherhood and the prevention and treatment of STD.

UNFPA works with IONESCO, WHO, The World Bank, USAID, The Swiss Bureau for Collaboration in instigating programmes for the protection of reproductive health, safe motherhood, the advancement of health and the prevention of HIV/AIDS.
