Kyrgyz State Medical Institute on Continuous Training builds its capacity on integration of family planning services and supporting sexual and reproductive health of people, living with HIV into primary health care level
During 9-14 September 2014, United Nations Population Fund is supporting a training for Faculty Professors of Kyrgyz State Medical Institute on Continuous Training on integration of family planning services and supporting sexual and reproductive health of people, living with HIV into primary health care level.
The training covers principles of counselling on reproductive health and family planning issues, rules prescribing contraceptives, family planning and use of contraceptives among people, living with HIV, use of condoms of dual protection from sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancies.
It is expected that family planning issues, as well as supporting sexual and reproductive health of people, living with HIV will be integrated into academic curricula of Kyrgyz State Medical Institute on Continuous Training Departments and Medical Colleges for programs of continuous medical education, for graduate programs (residency, internship) and primary specialization.
