UNFPA has launched a new TV series on reproductive health and family planning

Every Saturday starting with 18:15, the TV series (Teleklinika) will air nationwide on the OTRKchannel (Kyrgyz public television). The 12 episodes will be broadcasted in Kyrgyz language and will explore a range of topics: the health of mothers and newborns during birth and the postnatal period, emergency obstetric care, family planning, family and domestic violence prevention, among others.

UNFPA’s TV program seeks to provide Kyrgyz population with an insight into the challenges of sexual and reproductive health, an area that plays a crucial role in the social and economic development of the country.

The aim is to improve people’s understanding of the various conditions and to inspire them to take action in safeguarding their own health.
