The Kyrgyz Republic presented  desk review of the impact of COVID-19 on reproductive health, using operational data from the Ministry of Health and Social Development and qualitative questionnaires among decision makers, health care providers and patients at the Central Asian Reproductive Health Forum in March 2021.

An interrupted SRH services can  lead to an increased risk of maternal morbidity and mortality, shortages of medicines and health care providers, which in turn can lead to increased rates of unsafe abortions, sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy complications, miscarriages, post-traumatic stress disorder and depression.  For example, 88.9% of the women who died were housewives, only 1 (3.7%) women had a full-time job, and 2 (7.4%) of the cases included such categories as "private organizations, seamstress".  Cesarean section dominated from the methods of delivery - 84.2%. Or another date showed that despite the fact that, the proportion of pregnant women, women in labor and delivery was less than 1.0% out of all registered cases of Covid-19 in the country, however the  2.05%  pregnant women/mothers/mothers died within the structure of all Covid-19 deaths. In conclusion, the key findings are that the main barriers to receiving services were recommendations to stay at home due to lockdown and inadequate reproductive health counseling led to unintended pregnancies and births of unwanted children.
